Yet you "tackled" and "Looked at some of the FAQ on TT.Net to get some ideas but decided to do things a bit different" and "got all the accessories in the locations recommended by the manufacture and where I would want them in the car as well, but came across some wiring issues." Just for the fact that you tried to install the unit yourself prior to a certified installer should have void you warranty and had viper known this, I highly doubt viper would have warrantied your so called defective controller. There's nothing wrong with buying a DEI product not from a certified installer or having someone who is knowledgeable + experienced do the install.
